NEW for 2017: You can now order select Martin Guitars with your choice of electronics. Choose between the Fishman Aura VT Enhance or the LR Baggs Anthem! The Fishman Aura VT Enhance pairs an undersdaddle pickup with Aura mic images and a bridgeplate sensor. With the LR Baggs Anthem, the undersaddle element handles the low frequencies and the True-Mic is attached to the bridgeplate to capture the mids & highs. When the 2017 SNAMM show opened on July 13, 2017, I was at the Martin factory checking out all the new models. I played a D-18E with the Baggs Anthem and a GPC-16E withe Aura VT Enhance. We produced 3 videos for each guitar:
the guitar recorded acoustically with a Rode NT-5
the guitar's pickup recorded direct to disk
the guitar plugged into a Mesa/Boogie acoustic amp, mic'd with a Rode NT-5
