Additional Comments: I've owned quite a few High-end acoustics over the years including a James Goodall OM, a few Taylor's, and 2 Martin OMJM's and 2 Martin OM28JM's. I must admit that the Martin OM-42 is the best guitar I have ever played. It was a close one next to the OM28JM, but what set it apart was the 1 3/4in neck which is comfortable, easy to play and is great for finger picking as well as flat picking. The sound is classic Martin. Woody and mellow but with great balance in the treble, midrange and it has a very punchy bass, especially for a smaller OM style guitar. If the playability and sound don't lure you in, the looks sure will. When the light hits this thing right, it sparkles and shines like a diamond ring in a jeweler's display case. Fit and finish was second to none. I'm very hard to please and other "Brand New" guitars I've owned have all had small flaws in them, including the smallest dent, ding scratch or imperfection in the finish. I have a close eye for these things. Well, not the OM42. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this guitar, and I highly recommend buying from Maury. The guitar arrived in mint condition. It was shipped promptly and at a great price.. I attribute a great buying experience to Maury's experience, knowledge and his tedious inspection process.. If you're even thinking of getting this model, STOP! Buy it!!!
