Fossilized Walrus Ivory is acoustically transparent, in that it transfers the available frequency range of the guitar evenly, without coloring the sound. You will also have greater volume, more sustain and better note-to note clarity. As a rule, the better the guitar the more responsive the top. The more responsive the top, the more impact you will notice from adding FWI. Click here to find your bridge pin size.
The material used to make the ivory products we sell is from Fee Simple private Native lands in Alaska. The color comes from minerals that have penetrated the ivory for 100 to 30,000 years. No antiquity laws apply and all products are in full compliance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
