You have got to hear the sonorous acoustic tone of this DJr-10E Bass! We could barely believe how good it sounds and how fun it is to play. Solid sapele back and sides and a spruce top give it plenty of resonance. The 24” scale required special strings that Martin invented for the new Junior Series bass models, to make sure they are truly bass guitars and this DJr. version even sounds a lot like a upright bass when played acoustically or through a microphone. But the onboard Fishman® Sonitone electronics allow you to plug right into a bass amp, direct box, or recording console for increased volume as needed. Makes an ideal practice bass, but practical for gigs or jamming with your friends, and it is so travel-friendly! The DJr-10E Bass makes an ideal gift for the acoustic singer-songwriter in your life who wants to put down bass parts in the home recording studio but doesn’t need a full size bass and all the gear it requires.
Martin Junior Series instruments are slightly smaller than their full-sized instruments, but you won’t have to sacrifice tone or volume, and you’ll gain plenty of comfort and portability. This Martin DJR-10E acoustic-electric bass is ideal if you love to write and practice on an unplugged bass but also need the option to plug it in to record or play live with your band. It includes a spruce top and sapele back and sides to deliver thumping Martin bass tones, whether you are unplugged or using the built-in Fishman® electronics. It also includes a fast, comfortable neck so you can keep the rhythm section tight. The DJR-10E Bass is strung with Martin short scale bass strings that are made specifically for this instrument.
