Martin DCPA4 - plug & play ready for the Performing Artist!
The Martin DCPA4 is a Dreadnought with a Cutaway body in the Performing Artist series of contemporary acoustic-electric guitars, from tier 4, combining the quality of the popular 16 Series of more-traditional Martin designs with up-to-date features and technology.
While this model has many elements found on the D16GT, including back and sides made from solid African sapele, a traditional guitar wood in the mahogany family, and the full X bracing with complementary tone bars found on all professional-level Martins made with a solid Sitka spruce top, the DCPA4 comes with many state of the art features that are standard in the Performing Artist Series.
It has Martin's High Performance neck, with the Performing Artist Taper that allows for 1-3/4" width at the nut, while sleekly running to the 2-1/8" at the 12th fret. Matched with the low, smooth Performing Artist shape, it has all the comfort and speed of an electric guitar on an acoustic guitar that sounds top notch when played unplugged. And the cutaway means you can play anything you can play on an electric guitar. Cutting edge specs are enhanced with the contemporary looks of the offset fingerboard markers, once only available on rare limited edition Martins.
And when it comes to the on-board electronics, the DCPA4 has the Fishman F1 Analog system, which includes volume and tone controls on the side of teh guitar, along with an LED readout that's oh so easy to see when the stage lights are low. It even has phase shift to adjust to the specific amp or PA, and an on-board tuner that works without needing to plug in!
