The Martin Custom Shop OM Size 28 Style with VTS Top and Modified V Neck is a modern guitar inspired by Maury's personal 1998 OM-28VR. On the original, Maury had the long saddle bridge replaced with a short drop-in style, and that's what we chose for this replica. VTS Spruce was chosen to approximate the broken-in tone of Maury's guitar, which isn't VTS, but is 23 years older - with a TON of heavy playing (it's not the age, it's the mileage.) :) Great balance across all six strings, bold herringbone, East Indian rosewood, ebony, VTS Spruce, and vintage appointments give a classic look to a timeless sound.
